Home education (or home schooling, as it is commonly called in the USA) is where parents elect to educate their children themselves rather than delegating that responsibility to a school.

Home education is a long established legal right, currently exercised by around 90,000 (1.0%) UK children of compulsory educational age. This web site seeks to support those families and inform others as to their legal rights and responsibilities.
