What is coaching?
Coaching is an inspiring and fascinating journey in your personal and spiritual development; a journey led by you with guidance and support from me as your coach. It is a unique opportunity to explore, recognise and bring into play the special strengths that are yours alone. Coaching provides you with a thinking space, a sounding board, the encouragement to link to your intuition and essential self to enable you to succeed in your life in the ways that you value. It is a way of learning about yourself through constructive conversation with me, commitment to the tasks you set for yourself and in full awareness of your strengths and talents.
Coaching is about acknowledgement, encouragement, partnership and finding the courage to step out and look at the world from an entirely new perspective. In this way, you can find a path forward that’s just right for you and that empowers you to live your best life.
I coach from a spiritually and emotionally intelligent perspective, embracing tried and tested coaching, training and mentoring approaches. These emanate from a knowledge and wisdom base that spans both Eastern and Western Psychology and embraces ancient teachings and universal truths in a modern context. My main influences are pioneers in the psychospiritual arena, such as Eckhart Tolle, Sri Aurobindo, David Frawley, Thich Nhat Hahn, Pema Chodron, John Welwood, Marshall Rosenburg, Byron Katie and Joanna Macy. I see honouring and living from our authenticity as being paramount in making the shift to a more simple, meaningful and fulfilling life. So, I also draw from some of the Self-Retrieval practices developed by Altazar Rossiter, author of Developing Spiritual Intelligence: The Power of You, in my toolkit.
